Someone could say that Mykonos is all about luxury, champagne, fancy cocktails and organized beaches that make it the most cosmopolitan Greek island. Nevertheless, quieter beaches can be true pieces of heaven on Earth — especially on the days when all you need is to relax on your towel with a good book in hand!
Kapari is definitely one of these beaches. It’s located close to Agios Ioannis beach, only 4km away from Chora (Mykonos Town). Access is somewhat difficult, because the path leading to this little gem is rugged and requires caution. However, when you eventually arrive at the beach you’ll realize that the stunning scenery is worth the struggle.
The turquoise waters and the fine golden sand make Kapari beach the perfect haven for those who wish to enjoy a rejuvenating swim away from the crowded beaches of the island. That being said, it is very important to have plenty of water and snacks with you, because you’ll find no beach bar or food truck here.
It’s also worth mentioning that gazing at the horizon you’ll see the sacred island of Delos. Last but not least, this is an excellent location to watch the sun go down and let the sunset calm your soul and mind.
Extra tip: Mykonos is in fact an all-year-round destination. But if you really need to relax, the best time to visit the island is either late spring/early summer or September/October.
Whenever you come and wherever the villa you book with us is located, a visit to Kapari beach is a must, to indulge in the ultimate relaxing experience!
